Nightclub at the End of the World

A group art exhibition at Jam in a Jar, Green Lanes, Haringey

This October, Nightclub at the End of the World comes to Jam in a Jar on Green Lanes — a group exhibition bringing together six artists for a month-long show of strange, bold and eclectic contemporary art.

The exhibition opens on Thursday 29 October 2026, with an opening night at Jam in a Jar, and will remain on display for one month.

Featuring work by JONI B, DISH, MICHELLE MILDENHALL, KBR, ESTELLE RIVIERE and PAOLA ULLAND, the show brings together six distinctive practices under one deliberately loose banner.

The title Nightclub at the End of the World came from a phrase that has been circling around my own work for a while — that strange collision between celebration and collapse, where everything might be falling apart but somebody has still put the music on.

Rather than asking every artist to respond literally to the title, I wanted to use it as a starting point and a mood. The work in the exhibition will move through different styles, subjects and ideas, but there’s a shared sense of the unusual, the playful and the unexpected running through the show.

Think of it as a party at the edge of something.

Opening night — Thursday 29 October

We’ll be kicking things off with an opening night at Jam in a Jar, the independent bar and live music venue on Green Lanes in Haringey.

There’ll be original art on the walls, drinks, music and all six artists showing work together.

I love exhibitions that feel like actual events — somewhere you can meet people, have a drink, discover artists you might not already know and spend time with the work without the slightly intimidating atmosphere that galleries can sometimes have.

Jam in a Jar feels like the perfect home for it: intimate, independent, creative and right in the middle of Green Lanes.

And if you can’t make the opening night, the good news is that the exhibition will remain up for a month, so there’ll be plenty of opportunity to see the work afterwards.
