I painted this while thinking about the strange tension and release of letting go - of people, ideas and versions of ourselves we've outgrown. The crow isn't mourning - he's watching. He knows something else is coming. This is for anyone who has ever stood still in the aftermath, who's felt both the ache and the invitation of change.
